Fil-Aussie RJ Rosales dies at 37....

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino-Australian singer-actor RJ Rosales passed away last Dec. 4 in Sydney, Australia. He was 37.
The cause of his death has yet to be ascertained. Rosales’ family also requested for privacy in their period of mourning.

Rosales’ career took off when he was cast in the Australian production of the acclaimed “Miss Saigon” back in 1996. A slew of theater productions in Singapore and other neighboring countries came soon after.
Locally, Rosales appeared on a number of ABS-CBN shows including “Attagirl,” “Sa Puso Ko, Iingatan Ka” and “ASAP.” He was also part of the 2005 multi-awarded Metro Manila Film Festival drama “Blue Moon,” for which he got nominated Best Supporting Actor.
Another one of his popular works in the Philippines was his duet with Carol Banawa, “Together Forever,” the theme song of the 2002 Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa starrer, “Forevermore.”
Online sources stated that Rosales returned to Australia a few years ago to join Cameron Mackintosh’s re-staging of “Miss Saigon,” where he played Thuy. His performance earned him a nomination for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical at the 2007 Helpmann Awards.
